Loders to Bradpole Greenway
Our Vision
To create a safe, inclusive, and accessible non-road route between Loders and Bradpole—supporting active mobility for all, enhancing wellbeing, and contributing to a connected parish.
Our Mission
To work collaboratively with key landowners, council leaders, and community stakeholders. This will enable a defined, low-impact route for walking, wheeling, cycling, and other forms of active travel—ensuring daily journeys can be made safely, sustainably, and with dignity.
Why this matters
Chronic disease is rising in the UK, with inactivity contributing significantly to conditions such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and depression. Source: UK Chief Medical Officers’ Physical Activity Guidelines, 2019
Active travel infrastructure such as dedicated walking and cycling paths—has been shown to increase physical activity across all age groups and improve population-level health. Source: World Health Organization, Global Action Plan on Physical Activity, 2018
A local non-road route would enable choice, reduce dependency on cars for short trips, and support everyday wellbeing for residents of all ages and abilities.
Working Together
We acknowledge that this route can only be achieved with the support of a small number of landowners and community leaders.
Together we have an opportunity to:
- Contribute meaningfully to local health, sustainability, and inclusion
- Benefit current and future generations
