Limit
Reducing the speed limit to 20mph throughout the parish would improve road safety, increase active travel and cut pollution.

20 mph
Throughout the parish, the speed limit in the villages is 30mph and 60mph on the narrow, often single track, lanes in between. Loders Transport Group are campaigning for a speed limit of 20mph on all C roads throughout the parish.
Loders Parish Council Update
Loders Parish Council website has the following update about a 20mph speed limit:
"Loders Parish Council has received requests from a number of residents to seek the introduction of a 20mph speed limit in some areas of the parish. As a consequence, the Parish Council have carried out a 20mph survey to gather information on the level of public support for such a move. There were 311 responses to the survey and of these, 272 responses (87%) were in agreement with the proposal to adopt a 20mph limit in the area within the parish which is currently the subject of a 30mph limit with one minor extension of the speed limited area in Smishops Lane by 105 yards to include Highacres. The next step in the process is to fund speed surveys in 3 specific locations in the parish. To ensure a realistic opportunity for compliance, 20mph schemes should be self-enforcing so mean speeds should already be at or below 24mph."
