First Bus
The X51 and X53 run from Weymouth to Axminster. The X51 runs via Dorchester and Bridport while the X53 follows the coast road through Abbotsbury, Westbay and Bridport. Adult fares are capped at £3 and child fares half price. The nearest bus stop to Loders and Uploders for the Dorchester route is on the A35.
Plus Bus
Dorset Community Transport (DCT) PlusBus offers a Friday mid-morning trip through Loders and Uploders to Bridport, allowing approximately 2 hours for shopping and appointments. Where possible, a ‘door-to-door’ service is offered and, by prior arrangement, passengers travelling in wheelchairs can often also be accommodated.
